Camp Week 1

One week of camp down! I had such a great week of camp this week and was so blessed by the girls in my cabin! They were so open and receptive to God's word and really helped me out on my first week. I was really tired but feel pretty ready for new campers. Sadly there is something wrong with my camera. I don't have pictures this week, but my friend, Grace, is letting me use her camera.  I hope to have lots of pictures next week!

On Saturday a group of people went down to Show-lo and went to Walmart. It was one of the biggest Walmarts I have ever seen! Jillayne and I shopped around Walmart, got to ride in a cart and had a lot of fun! Jillayne is quickly becoming a good friend here. We had a sleep over last night and got to talk and laugh. What fun!

Have you ever heard of star tripping? I have officially been star tripped and it is sooo much fun! You pick a star in the sky and then spin around for thirty seconds. They some shines a flashlight in your eyes and it throws off your equilibrium. Then you fall to the ground and die laughing! It sounds really crazy but it's ALOT of fun.

I guess that's a pretty good summary of the week. I acutally have to go and finish homework. Woops :)

Off to Alpine

So today is finally the day we take off for camp Grandview. I had a last minuet change of plans and am riding up with a van of staff that flew in today. I think I will enjoy riding instead of flying!

Last night I said goodbye to my family and took off to pick Grace, a girl working at camp this summer, from the airport. Sweet Ana and Alisia had hung signs all around the house (and I mean all around the house) that said "We will miss you Heather and Mom". They are so sweet and Ana's little notes have always been so touching. My mom prayed with me before I set out... oh bother I think I will actually miss them this summer :P

Have you even noticed that everything in the airport looks exactly the same! Plus if you get into the wrong lane you end up literally on the other side of the world! I finally found the parking lot and then parked in section B. They I found Grace and we headed back to the car with the luggage. Do you know how many 'B's there are in an airport! We walked around on floor 3b and then decided it was the wrong floor so we tried another one. Thankfully, the second floor was right and we were able to find the car and take off.

So now we are getting ready to take off and very soon I'll be in Alpine. I found a really good verse yesterday that reminded me how we can get through hard times. Here it is I hope it's a blessing to you this summer.

It's true that there are times we cannot do things. However, God can do the impossible and we can believe that we will see the goodness of God in the land of the living!
