Camp Week 1

One week of camp down! I had such a great week of camp this week and was so blessed by the girls in my cabin! They were so open and receptive to God's word and really helped me out on my first week. I was really tired but feel pretty ready for new campers. Sadly there is something wrong with my camera. I don't have pictures this week, but my friend, Grace, is letting me use her camera.  I hope to have lots of pictures next week!

On Saturday a group of people went down to Show-lo and went to Walmart. It was one of the biggest Walmarts I have ever seen! Jillayne and I shopped around Walmart, got to ride in a cart and had a lot of fun! Jillayne is quickly becoming a good friend here. We had a sleep over last night and got to talk and laugh. What fun!

Have you ever heard of star tripping? I have officially been star tripped and it is sooo much fun! You pick a star in the sky and then spin around for thirty seconds. They some shines a flashlight in your eyes and it throws off your equilibrium. Then you fall to the ground and die laughing! It sounds really crazy but it's ALOT of fun.

I guess that's a pretty good summary of the week. I acutally have to go and finish homework. Woops :)

  1. Glad you're having a great time at camp!

I was there in Show Low the day that Walmart opened! It was big excitement in town - the parking lot was full, and a huge crowd. One Walmart exec. said they'd open the new store if we'd all do the Walmart cheer. So she said, "give me a W" and the crowed roared "W", give me an "a" and the crowed yelled even louder "A".... after we'd gotten through all the letters, "What does that spell?"... "WALMART! WALMART! WALMART!". Then the Show Low HS marching band led us all into the store - and marched around at least twice and no matter where we were in the store when the band came by we'd stop and wave and clap.

Fun small town memories that I just "had" to share :D

    See you soon!
